Cursillo
Anglican Cursillo is a worldwide movement to nourish and deepen our Christian spirituality.
This movement is well established in other NZ Dioceses and was invited into the Waiapu Diocese by Bishop David Rice in 2011.  Since then, many Waiapu people have taken up the opportunity to be involved in Cursillo.
“Cursillo” is a Spanish word meaning “a short course” – in this case, the Cursillo Movement offers a short course in Christian living for Anglicans who are seeking to deepen their faith within the context of a supportive fellowship.
Next course: A new course is yet to be arranged.   This will be advised in due course.
The course takes place over a weekend and is a time of opening ourselves to the grace and love of God by listening to talks, engaging in discussion, prayer and worship, with music, singing and laughter, along with opportunities for reflection, silence and creative expression.
More information about Cursillo and the next 3 day weekend can be accessed from the website www.waiapu.com/about-us/cursillo/
You also might like to talk to others in the Parish who have experienced a Cursillo weekend – such as Alistair, Christina, Lois, Carole, Joan, Elizabeth Maggie, or Bronwyn.
